Tomorrow is the "big" day. I am supposed to get Gizmo neutered. But all evening I have been feeling all out of sorts about it. I hadn't been second guessing this decision prior to right now. I have no intention of breeding him but I don't want his demeanor that I have grown to love so deeply to change. And I am worried at the thought of him being hurt or changed in any way. Is this just big day jitters, or should I cancel the appointment even though I won't be breeding him?

Also, he had to stools today that were diarrhea, he had some on Thursday and Friday last week but when I gave him home cooked rice and boiled chicken it went away up until this evening. Yesterday I switched him back to his food and continued with the boiled chicken, he had no diarrhea then, but now its back. He got tested for worms and such over the weekend, and all tests came back negative. Is he feeling my anxiety?? I don't usually let him sleep in my bed (since he isn't potty trained) but thinking of the horrible thing im going to do to him tomorrow I'm letting him tonight.

What food is he on?
If he still has diarrhea tonight, I'd ask the vet how they felt about postponing because a sick animal really shouldn't have an elective surgery in my opinion.
