We keep Lily in the mud room most of the time but we have also been leaving her in her crate when we won't be gone for as long so that if we ever have to leave her in there she won't scream. The first couple of times we put her in there she would scream and scream and it sounded like she was throwing herself up against the walls of the crate. It was the funniest saddest thing I had ever heard. We just left her alone and now she has realized we will be back. She still will start whimpering when I get her out and love on me like she hasn't seen me in days, but thats ok it makes me feel special
