As for GA, Savannah has an airport and is very reasonable. The only two major airports in GA are Savannah and Atlanta. Atlanta really isn't too unreasonable as far as cost goes. I know Charleston SC has an airport, but I'm not too sure about how expensive of a city it is (IME, the majority of the places in the south are usually pretty cheap). Also, Greenville, SC has a major airport and its a pretty nice town, though I'm not positive how dog friendly they are. Those are the only cities close to airports that I have any experience with.
