Our yorkie gets hyped up in the evenings. But when she was little we would play with her alot at night after our kids went to sleep, so that is what she is used to. She does tend to chew on stuff that she isn't supposed to, even when her chew toys are readily available. The underside of our bed has been a favorite to her. But I would recommend not crating her all of the time. Pick a room that has hardwood or tile and gate your pup off in there. No dog should be crated all day. Oh, and our daisy was extremely easy to housetrain. The only problem we had was when we left her with someone that said they would work with her while on vacation and didn't. When we got home and got back into the swing of things, it only took about a week to get her completely back to doing her business outside. Good luck in your search.
