Oh I hate to say there are many of us here with the same problem... We too have tried it all.. I personally just tried Benedryl and I'm said to say we had no luck I think she reacted to that too. She got real red and she was biting in a frenzy.. the worst I think I've seen.. It seems to me its a hard battle and we all feel your pain.. I found this web site earthclinic.com It has natural remedies. Trixie was being treated for mange the vet wanted to rule it out before we aggressively went after allergies. Any way I went to this site and found that Borax mixed with peroxide or apple cider vinegar will kill mites among many bacterias including yeast.. I was very hesitant but in desperation I gave it try.. I did find that if I used it in her final rinse after her bath she does find some relief. I now put it a spray bottle and spray it on her when she bites herself red.. I literally notice the redness calming down not to say that she doesn't still scratch but it's better.( I have to put a shirt on her too) This also helps so there aren't secondary infections which can help with those vet bills. Lots of luck to and as far as sleeping get used to that to I have moved Trixie to the floor with a pillow and I still wake up telling her to stop bitting.. I'ts soooo sad..Heart breaking actually..
