My two jump all the time. There really is no stopping them. By the time you realize what they're doing, it's too late. Smokey once jumped from the floor and onto the couch - but not the normal way... he jumped over the back of it! Chip flies... one second he'll be on the bed then the next second he'll be on the complete other side of the room.
