It seems any of it can cause reactions.
You could try something natural but I don't think you have as good of a guaranee that it will work (otherwise more people would use it).
If it were me, I would probably use a natural safe product to keep them under control and brush the dogs thoroughly every few hours. This would be taking a big risk though. If I felt I had to use a chemical, I MIGHT consider Advantix.
