From the sounds of it, Maddie is VERY happy and there IS no "poor Maddie" in this case. Poor Denise, yes, poor Lexi, yes, poor Lauryn, yes. Not poor Maddie.
How could you compare Macy to Bella? From what Denise knew at that point, Maddie was dead laying in a dump somewhere. Now, she can see Maddie whenever she wants and she KNOWS that Maddie is making those people very happy.
This is a very personal decision for her family. I can't stand it when people just can't accept the fact that SOME dogs just don't have a problem being rehomed. Not just you, a large amount of the people on here. I'm sure if Maddie had had a hard time adjusting, Denise would have talked with Bob and Jane about taking her back.
Maddie is very well adjusted with Bob and Jane, and I don't know about you, but I feel that taking Maddie away from them would be an incredibly selfish act and I APPLAUD Denise and her family for putting their own heartbreak and feelings aside and doing what is very obviously best for Maddie. |
Megan,
I think you are over reacting just a little bit. YorkieShadow does have
a right to her own opinion like everyone else. To be perfectly honest
I also can't understand it myself and yes I have followed Maddie's story
from the time Denise fell asleep in the yard and woke up to no Maddie.
I cried when she found out she was supposedly killed by a car, thown in
the trash, I sent a card and contributed to flowers. I cried when she had
her dream and cried when she found Maddie at Lewis's house. I cried when she got Macy thinking they are once again happy and I cried when she
had to give her up. To not understand something should not be jumped
on in a negative manner. This is why I did not post on this thread regarding
my feelings. Everyone has to do what is best for them but there are some
who just don't understand it. I am going to say it and if I get slammed
so be it. If that were my Buddy I would want him back with no questions
asked if he could come back into my home. It was, afterall, a temperory thing with the hopes of Lexi getting better. I am not saying anyone is wrong I just do not understand and there is nothing wrong with not understanding something. Why do people get jumped on on this site for saying things in a nice way just because it does not go along with the crowd. It happens much to often. I have been a member for 2yrs purchased from lot's of the vendors made friends and yet I am afraid at times to post my personal thoughts. This is a perfect example of why. If you don't agree with everyone
else keep quiet I guess.
I wish the best for Denise and family but I just don't understand it and
never will.
