I guess you would use a food dehydrator or bake it and dry it in the oven.

You just have to be very careful that they are completely dry and aren't going to go moldy. It would make me nervous but I know it can be done.
As for Orijen, I posted a thread a few weeks ago about bone fragments in their food. If quality control can't catch that there is something wrong somewhere.
I don't want it to sound like I think everyone needs to stop feeding kibble because if I had a big dog and couldn't afford to homecook I'd have to do the same. But I am so picky with Ellie that she will probably never go on it again (hopefully). There are always circumstances though where it might have to be used.
