you can get them for about 4 or 5 dollars in the health food stores if you do it yourself. the sound that it makes in your ears went away as soon as they pull the candle out of your ear. It is really easy to do at home....if it wasnt for the fire
at the top of the candle, I would be able to do it myself......I hold it for about the 10 15 minutes it takes, but have to have someone help me put it in and then out. I thought I read back on the internet, that ear candling went back to Roman Egyptian times. Marcerella 02, I so agree with you on prefering this over the water/hydrogen peroxide spray(elephant ear wash system). I build up ear wax quickly. Everybody is different on the amount and how fast they build it up. I didn't feel any pain at all. Like marcerella 02said, just warm relaxing feeling....I first had it done by a massage therapist.
