You are so right! Many people just want a yorkie. They don't care about backgrounds, genetics, etc. and when you can purchase an AKC pup for $400, the good, responsible breeders are SOL.
Summer time is not a great time to have pups. People are going on vacation, etc. I only breed once a year and I skip the summer pups. Just have too much going on.
