Rose, I am so very sorry for your loss...I am also so very leery of a vet who would suggest fasting a A-sympotmatic litter of puppies, some under 2 pounds..and then drawing the amount of blood needed for a BA..

Simply make a contract stating you will pay for a 6 month BA test and you will refund the puppy cost if it has a shunt..they can keep the puppy.

PS.... I only fast a 3 to 4 pound adult for 6 hrs before a dental or S/N etc...
That would be acceptable to me. I think it's a terrific idea. Once someone has purchased a puppy...they are in love with that puppy and don't want a replacement puppy...and certainly not from the same lines...they may have gotten sick puppy.
