I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I too took all 7 of my puppies at 9 weeks to have them tested. I did not have a BAT though as after discussion with my vet we decided that a liver enzyme blood panel at that age would be better. I to question whether I will ever do it again. One of my puppies bled so much after they drew the blood I though he was going to bleed to death. And for those who think it is not hard on the puppies watching the vet and his assistant trying to hold them still to draw blood from their juggler vein was awful. I had my adults tested also and offer a guarantee. I may not ever do it again. I now have 4 beautiful males who have all been tested with tons of money into their breeding and I can't sell them. It is funny how people want or expect all the extra special care and testing done, but when it comes to buying a puppy they want one for $500. I see alot of posts here with people talking about having all puppies tested and I too was trying to do the right thing. Again I am so sorry for your loss. I know your heart is really hurting!
