no , what they do to the ears is shave the hair off of them. so they will have strength to stand. Ahia's ears had a hard time standing. they were heavy and i kept taking the hair off of them. they are just not comming around to our way of thinking. when they look you in the eyes with that yorkie kind of look you really don't care if they stand or not.
