Hello there and welcome to YorkieTalk. I'm sure you'll love it here and hopefully learn a lot for your new baby. My very best piece of advice came from a local dog trainer. She told me the minute you bring your new pup home, before bringing it inside...go straight outside, sit him in the grass where you want him to eventually go potty all the time...and wait...yes, it may take a very long time, but eventually it will go potty. Then "throw a party" with praise and/or treats...let it know how happy you are that it went potty outside, then and only then can you bring it inside your home. Do not give your new pup free run of the house, keep it crated when you are not actively playing with or holding it. Be patient and persistent...they are really very smart little dogs and want nothing more then to please you. Good luck, let us know how it goes. But most important enjoy...they grow up so very fast!!!
