The dosage for Dezi's size was supposed to be 1 ml. but I only had caplets so I crumbled off a corner. What is the test for pancreatitis? She's had many full blood work ups and one very recent that are always perfect.
I have been giving her little teaspoons of applesauce. She loves it and I figured it would give her sugar and not be too rich.
Rice and very little hamburger this morning that she ate well (seemed in good spirits, too) came out the rear end about an hour and a half later. I am getting chicken baby food for later.
I was afraid to do yogurt because of introducing dairy into the mix. She has had negative effects with acidopholis when I was told to sprinkle it on her food. It created more intestinal "noises" than ever and I think she gets cramps. Sometimes it relieves (or calms) her if I rub her little belly (with my thumb, she is only 2.5 lbs)I have also decided to change food to California Naturals chick n rice when this is settled. It has less fat and protein than what she eats now (but has big kibbles)
Thank you all for such great support and thoughtful responses. This is the first time I've ever been in any kind of chat or forum and Yorkies would be the only worthy subject. This is an unbelievable way to connect.
To end on a happy subject, I also have a 5 month old female pup, Cassidy, new to our family. She can suck down anything and have no problems. She is more of a bruiser than my worried little Desiree.
