I think they will probably go through it a lot. Maybe even be suspicious of you, I don't know.

The machines they check luggage with will not be able to 'see inside' a metal suitcase. If there is any other way you could do it, I certainly would. Ship that suitcase and 'carry' another. Just my opinion, mind you. The hassle of all the checking would be a definite turn off for me.
