Aw, Kewtee, I feel bad for you not being able to play! Especially since I know how funny you are. Don't give up. Your wit and wisdom is still as delightful whether you're online live or not.

As for your questions, I can't speak with any authority about admin's policies. I've only been a member of this forum for a few months. But I can speak a little about freedom of speech. It is both a right and a privilege. While we can say whatever we please, we have to be responsible for what we say. You can shout in church, but you will probably be asked to leave if it disrupts the congregation. That freedom can indeed be taken away. You can speak out against the president, but if you do so at the Republican National Convention, you will likely be shown the door because it is a private gathering for the purpose of re-electing the president. That freedom can be taken away.

But for each topic, there is a forum for your comments. You can speak out against the church in the newspaper or on television or in a meeting with church members. You can speak out against a Republican president at the Democratic National Convention or in the media or in online forums asking for public comment.

I see Yorkietalk like that. It is a club with a written purpose: Discussions about Yorkies. When topics stray from Yorkies, a well-run administration has a responsibility to get it back on track. They're not saying you can't talk about other things, you just can't talk about other things here when it distracts people from talking about Yorkies and when it distracts admin from facilitating talk about Yorkies. If admin is having too much of its limited time policing threads unrelated to Yorkies to make sure people aren't slandering each other, then it has a responsiblity to shut the thread down and steer the topic back to Yorkies.

And anyone who disagrees has the freedom to go to another forum and discuss other topics.

But again, I speak with no authority on this site. I'm just a guy here to learn about Yorkies.
