When I had my first Yorkie (Willy), I lived in an apartment with small kitchen, so I kept him in the kitchen and blocked the door with a babygate. I came home from work one day to find him proudly prancing around the house! I couldn't figure it out! He was only 6 mos old and the babygate was almost 4' tall! It looked perfectly in tact...except a sliced hole where he chewed thru the HARD plastic mesh! It was at his head level too, so it wasn't mindless chewing...it was a deliberate escape attempt!!!
