I've asked this question before w/o an answer
I was always under the impression that home cooked food was bad for dogs, for their teeth and for the seasonings.
It will be much easier for me to cook for Max as long as he eats it, he in on Royal Canin now and so far is the one he likes the best, this will be our 3rd. bag and he still eats it, but I'm sure he will get bored after a while.
