a lot of ppl dont like IAMS for some reason, we always fed our dogs that and they were healthy, i guess it just depends how strict u are about it. my puppy ate smart puppy iams for a long time and he was fine, and my mom has a 16 yr old chihuahua on iams mini chunks and she is fine too
