I would have thought if he gave you the calcium pills that he would have told you how and when to give them. The Nutri-cal is optional. If mom is eating well she probably won't need it. It is very important that you watch the mommas breasts. If they start getting hard, red and lumpy then that means she is getting mastitis and she will need an antibiotic.
