I was given calcium pills by our first vet at her checkup in late May. Should I give her those now? I wasn't sure if I should or not.

Also, if her blood sugar is low, what should I give her?
Feel free to ask about anything you are not sure about. I can understand being nervous with the first litter. Yes, you should start giving her the calcium pills. It is very important that she gets a calcium supplement or she could possibly get eclampsia. I give my females 1/2 calcium pill in morning and 1/2 in the evening before bedtime. Your momma dog should be eating 4 good meals a day, the last one being right before bedtime. As long as she is eating well then her blood sugar should be okay. Sometimes I give my momma dogs a little bit of Nutri-cal to give them a little extra calories and energy.
