We just got back from seeing another doctor and found out that the reason it looks like two breaks on the x-ray is that it's what they call a classic spiral fracture. Basically, I twisted my ankle as I broke it.
I need to see an orthopedic surgeon now. The doctor today said that she doesn't think the pin makes much of a difference except that it might help it heal more quickly with a little less pain. I told her that I thought that was a big difference! lol
We'll see what the orthopedic surgeon says. Thanks for checking on John, he really appreciates it.
