The shots would be for distemper, adenovirus (type 2), parvo and parainfluenza. These shots would be considered necessary at this time as they are the first 'adult booster'. After these shots, your dog shouldn't need any more for at least 3 years according to the new protocols being advocated. The 3 year protocol is a compromise as data shows immunity well beyond this time period but is one most vets can live with. Annual boosters are not necessary and can have a cumulative negative effect on your dog's health. Google 'over vaccination in dogs' for more info.
