I cringe to think about what would happen if they ever were accepted into the AKC. As it is, there are many who don't give them much consideration because of their lack of AKC recognition. Theorectically speaking, if and when that ever happened, there will come a time when the Biewer is the current going fad and they are poorly bred and mass produced for the sake of the almighty $$$ (as the Yorkies are being now) thus doing the dogs a HUGE injustice.

I'm sure it will happen sooner or later, just not a pleasant thought to entertain.
