The male being larger is not a problem. Many responsible show breeders will use a little larger male if he has excellent qualities needed in a breeding program. That is part of the problem with Yorkies today, everyone keeps breeding them down in size and they are getting more and more unsound. There is so much more to consider when selecting a male for breeding than just size.
