The puppy shots are typically given every three weeks. Sometimes they will be as little tired afterwards. I am glad your vet gave him half the doseage.
My litte Suzi had shots from the breeder before I got her. She only needed her last round of shots. However, the breeder gave her first round of shots too early. So she needs one more round of shots.
Then after the puppy reaches at least 4 months of age he/she recieves a rabies shot. My vet also recommended me not to take Suzi out untill all of her shots were over.
In some areas these diseases are worse and more prevalient in dogs.
There are a few shots that are only necessary if it is a problem in your area. Such as the Lepto, which is a very potent vasccine.
