I just returned from the vet. My puppy is 10 weeks old and we had our first shot today. Since my puppy has been infected with kennel cough and is not entirely recovered yet the vet wanted to take a precaution and give Mickiey half the dosage. The shot was a combination of Hepatitis, parvo, coronavirus, and distemper. Our vet told us to return in 3 weeks to get the second shot.
Did anybody do this combination as a first shot as well? was this a good approach for the shot (the combination)? I am not sure if we did the right thing. Mickiey is 2.4 Ibs now and ever since we got back from the vet he has not been himself. Usually Mickiey is very playful, but he's been sleeping the entire time and he is not even around me like he usually is (he is sleeping in another room) =[ I don't know if I should be worried or if this is common for small puppies after a vaccine. By the way he also had a blood test done today.
If you guys have any opinions on this, or if anybody has gone through the same thing, please let me know. I am new to this, so anything that you guys say will be very much appreciated!
