As per my other post, I am lucky enough to have an emergency vet, animal hospital, 5 minutes away from me and unfortunately have had to use them on several occasions. Only one time did it end up being a true emergency and I had to put my beloved Oreo to sleep because of internal bleeding. It didnt change the outcome, but it would have been worse to watch him suffer any further if I had not been so close to the vet. The other times have been me over reacting to symptoms,like that damn reverse sneezing thing, before i knew what it was, but Im still glad they were there.

I didnt move here, obviously because of the vet being close, but now I think that when I move this will be a factor to consider. I dont think I would ever want to be far away from help. I feel the same way about people hospitals too though. I tend to think in some cases people on YK are a little over the top, but in this case, I guess I am the same. Anyone else feel the same or think about this?
