Some times I think she is going through a depression with the loss of Buddy the sire of her pups. He was killed May5th. She has no desire to go play.
She is eating well and getting enough water.
I am not sure what is going on. Because this is my first litter also. I am wondering if she knows I am there also so she doesn't have to be a doating mother. |
Did she hurt herself on the box?...If so maybe that is why she doesn't want to go in...Don't give Mom too much room to roam away from the box...The pups are at the age where Mom may lay outside the box but when pups whimper and start to cry she should want to hop in and take care of their needs...
Very sorry to hear of your sire!
