Some times I think she is going through a depression with the loss of Buddy the sire of her pups. He was killed May5th. She has no desire to go play.
She is eating well and getting enough water.
I am not sure what is going on. Because this is my first litter also. I am wondering if she knows I am there also so she doesn't have to be a doating mother. |
How is the momma doing this morning? Do the pups seem to be satisfied? Since the pups are two weeks old the mom will only be nursing them every few hours and the rest of the time she will not want to be in the box. Make sure the bedding is fresh and clean. I am so sorry to hear the sire was killed, what happened to him? I am sure this has all been hard on the little momma.
