I can't get her to go into the whelping box any more. She stands attentive by the box or on my bed looking into it. I have to bring the puppies to her at the door of the whelping box. She still licks them and nudges them. I am just not sure why she doesn't want to go in there.
Some times I think she is going through a depression with the loss of Buddy the sire of her pups. He was killed May5th. She has no desire to go play.

She is eating well and getting enough water.
I am not sure what is going on. Because this is my first litter also. I am wondering if she knows I am there also so she doesn't have to be a doating mother.
