First I just want to say that you did a great thing by rescuing him. I feel so terrible when I hear stories of sick doggies, my heart really hurts for them. Second thing is that I am going through this Kennel Cough myself right now so I can't tell you exactly what approach is better because Mickiey didn't heal yet, but in three days our 10 day treatment of antibiotics will end and although I think he is getting a little bit better I will put him on all natural supplements and try to heal him myself. I read a ton of different threads and did research and found that most people say that those puppies that are treated with antibiotics take longer to get better than those who are treated by their owners with just a lot of relaxing, vaporizer and natural supplements. I hope people with actual experience will respond but from my research your own method might be better than the vet's.
