I say go for it as long as you don't mind feeding a special diet and paying for supplements if they are necessary. Those numbers do indicate MVD but it is always possible (though highly unlikely) that it could be a shunt, so that might get expensive and stressful. Also, it is best for dogs with MVD to be fed at least 3-4 times a day.

Why was the dad bred to begin with?
