I've had a depsit on a new puppy for a few weeks. The breeder took her in Friday fo BAT. Her numbers were 36 and26. Her father has asymtomatic MVD. He is 7 and has never had any problems. Not on any treatment all. He is now part of the Cornell study on Shunt disease.

The breeder is going to let me have her for almost nothing just to give her a good home. Right now she is healthy and active. I'm not sure what to do.

We also have a 6 month male who will be neutered tomorrow.

I lost my 7 yr old yorkie 3 weeks ago to renal disease and it was pretty traumatic for me to lose him.

THis scares me about the new dog, but she needs a home and we would like to give it to her and hold our breath and see what happens. What do you all think?
