I am a big fan of x-pens. They help to keep your babies safe when you are not home to watch them, but give them much more room than a crate does. If you are going to be gone for quite awhile, you can put one or two pee pads down for them and still have enough room for a bed and food and water dishes. You can also buy more than one, attach together, and give them tons of space while still keeping them confined. Good luck!
