I haven't had to leave Bob alone yet.

He's a 5 year-old rescue that I picked up 48 hours ago.

I'm fortunate that I'm in a situation that I only need to go into work one-day-a-week for about 6 hours, but I am a little concerned about how that's going to play out. This coming Monday will be his first 6-hour stretch on his own.

I have a pen and a crate, and I'll probably confine him to the pen, with his crate inside, although I am concerned that he will simply jump out. (I had a mini-dachshund who was an escape artist and almost always seemed to find a way out, and I know for a fact that the doxie wasn't nearly as good of a jumper as this little guy is.)

We shall see...
