My bitches pups are 12 days old . She had 7 puppies. I just clipped the nails of the pups because they felt like pins on my arms not alone on Angels belly.
They are suckling on areas between the teats and sometimes on each other. I have been rotating them so they get to the teats closer to her tails. My littlest pup was 3.8 oz and now she is 8.2 oz. she is doing well but I am very attentive to them all day long.

Can I use lanolin on any teats that look iritated? Should I use cool or warm compresses to her teats to ease any discomfort from the pups, suckling and their nails digging into her?

Should I take her temperature more often if I feel her underside is warm to the touch?
