I crate train Jamie too. Same weekday schedule... 8-5 come home at lunch to let him out. On the weekend though Jamie only goes in the crate if we're not home. I've found the more that he's out, the less trouble he gets into over the long run... probably cause he's already gotten into everything and gotten in trouble At first he was just pushing his boundaries to see what he could and could not get away with. On the weekends I take him out to potty regularly (every hour to hour and a half) just in case. If he doesn't potty he goes in his crate for 15 minutes and then I take him back outside. Now he knows that as soon as his feet hit the grass its potty time and then he gets to play. Sounds like you're doing a GREAT job mommy!
