Oprah said that this show had the biggest reaction of any shown this year. The governor of Pennsylvania wrote and said that he cared deeply about the plight of dogs forced to live in kennel conditions such as those depicted on the show, and said the under the current laws the puppy mills shown were legal. He is proposing sweeping legislation that would include larger cage sizes, solid floors, access to exercise, and protection from heat and cold. There are many opponents to this, and he urges the citizens of Pennsylvania to write, e-mail, or call their state legislators for help passing this law. There is more information on the Oprah site.
