Im pretty sure she could have said something alot more rude than take the dog to the vet. If you look back on the thread you will see that all this could have been avoided had no one made a big stink about her post. you guys (experienced breeders) have turned this thread into drama...for no reason. I just dont get it. I agree that everyone should be nice and respectful to one another but look at how she was treated for just suggesting she take the doc to a vet...the OP came here for advice and she gave her her advice. If you dont agree with her advice then state yours on thats it.
Ya know, I don't think anyone JUMPED on her. A lot could have been avoided if she had just re-read her post. It DID sound rude in the way it was short and blunt. And not just one person felt that way. They ALL did. Then because she couldn't just say, yea, I am sorry it sounded so blunt.. She got defensive and argumentative and to the REAL breeders, who are trying to help. telling Anne she has issues was SO out of line! If she was a breeder and had been reading the breeding section and truly trying to help, she would have known the circumstances that Anne was going thru at the time and realized at the first post from Anne that she was coming on a little too strong in her bluntness. Instead she chose to argue and belittle Anne and that was totally uncalled for. Compassion and kindness can go a LONG way. ESPECIALLY with a new person asking a serious BREEDERS question. If you don't have some good, experienced advise, then you should either (1) not post at all, (2) say I really don't know, but I would check with your vet or (3) (if you are REALLY trying to be helpful) PM one of the breeders and ask if they could answer the question. All any of us are asking for is a little respect. Some people have to have the last word no matter what and that is what gets these fights going. I have seen it posted all over YT.. BE A POSITIVE POSTER! When someone comes on showing thier new cute puppy, it is fine to give a short blunt answer like " how adorable!" But a serious breeders question should not in my own opinion be answered bluntly (or rudely) by someone who is a non breeder and has no idea if it is an emergency or not.
