 Eye Surgery ?
Has anyone here ever had eye surgery on their yorkies ? My little 8 yr old yorkie, Lindsey, 4 1/2 lbs, had developed an eye infection which turned out to be glucoma in one of her eyes. We saw the Emergency Eye Vet and we decided to administer 4 types of eye meds to Lindseys eye for a week. Next week the dr. is going to take more tests to see if the pressure is off her eye, if not, it looks like Lindseys eye will be taken out. The optical nerve is weak so no prostetic can be put there. I'm really a wreck and have turned to YorkieTalk for support. If anyone has had experience with eye problems and surgery with eyes, please reply. Lindeys Mom.... |
