I am so tired of people coming here needing immediate advice when they know they should ask the vet but either don't want to take the dog in or don't want to spend the money.

Perhaps some people think that they could be panicking over nothing. Why waste the money at the vet if its a common thing that is no cause for concern? I mean, every question on this board could be answered with "call the vet", but people are looking for someone with a similar experience or some understanding. I would not want to spend the money at the vet if it was not nessesary.
