I most definately would call someone. I've never bought a dog from a pet store. Some friends of mine bout a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel because they could tell he was sick and felt so sorry for him. They bought him and have given him a wonderful home. He's not much bigger the my yorkie Mollie just the longer legs. I think they average between 15 - 20 lbs. He is a sweet heart. I've told them several times that they are wonderful people rescuing him and they just looked at me with puzzlement, I told them you did rescue him.
Anyway sorry to ramble. I think I would call the local humane society, police or spca because more than likely they purchased their puppies from a puppy mill.
