You cannot let them play with long yarn, ropes, leashes , dental floss etc. unsupervise. One of my yorkie named zoey got a hold of one and tangled herself under a chair, the thread got wrapped around her body and her neck. She couldn't breath. If I wasn't home that day she could have died.
