I have some girls that show dominance by hovering over one or the other but they do not actually fight. From my experience once the bad fighting starts it will only gets worse and they have to be separated. Over the years I have had several alpha bitches that got along great with males but not females. Also, bringing in a female from the outside can cause this type of problem. If possible you will have to keep them in separate rooms or x-pens. Be extra careful when they both have puppies on the ground because the fighting can get really bad then if they get together.
