Hi Nichole,
I think I met you at Uncle Sams and directed you to this site. I see you have now met the gang here at Yorkie talk. They are a good group , just kindof sensitive about us using the term "teacup". I know what you want....it is just what I wanted. A pretty little yorkie to love!!!! Well, I have my Gia and at last count she did only weigh 2.8 lbs. While I agree with the posters for the most part that smaller pups are prone illness and or injury, that has not been the case with my Gia. Aside from having two bum knees, she is find health wise. (Just never let her have greasy table food , especially pork) I was intent on getting a pretty girl and pretty she is. She was imported from Hungary by a broker, culled from Hungarian stock because she is too small to breed/show and they probabley noticed her luxating patellas. I loooove her sooooo much! When the time comes, I will have her knees fixed. Having said that,I want to warn you to be careful in your quest to find the perfect girl for you. There are some people out there who breed just for size (just like the other posters told you) and they have no concern for the health of the breed, only to p roduce small pups because people do want them small. I really wouldn't care if Gia was a little bigger than she is. She is really fragile and I am VERY protective around her. no children are going to touch her, adults are not that great either as they underestimate her springiness and one fall from someones arms could result in death. BUT, I know you want small so be careful or you will end up with an 8 lb yorkie and that is not what you want! DONT' spend your money on a pup younger than 12 weeks. Utilize the weight chart posted here at this site as it is a good predictor. I couldn't find a dog here in our town but there is a breeder in Attalla , she is nice but did not have what I wanted. PRIVATE message me and I will
tell you more. Best of Luck , I will help if I can.
