Part of the confusion there also stems from the fact of a lack of documentation. That is why they wanted the court ordered DNA testing. They said lots of children and lack of information as to their parents, DOB, etc was an issue.
My thinking (again JMO) they might have felt that the girl was very young and lying about her age. I know the picture of her I saw she looked to be about 15/16 years old. |
I saw a copy of the government's documentation...of the women...and plainly beside her name...document proving age...written beside it...birth certificate. Once they saw that...she should've been released. I'm inclined to believe her...they wanted to hold her until she gave birth and seize the baby.
I'll say this...were I any one of those women...after the way this situation was handled...dang if it wouldn't make me distrust the government and even less likely I'd look to them for help.
I don't approve of the life style. I don't agree with it...but the government can't just trample on people. THAT is what I object to.
