Here's my story. I WAITED ON
Patrick Swayze in the emergency room. He was filming "Grandview USA" in my hometown. (Anyone see that movie? Also had Jamie Lee Curtis & C Thomas Howell.)
I worked in the ER (triage and registration). I was about 20 years old and way "too cool" to make moon eyes over celebrities. I actually asked him his name and made him spell his last name!!

He had been dancing and stepped off a curb and twisted his ankle. He was doing wheelies in the wheelchair all over the ER. He was a little bit of a jerk (but then I guess I was too. He was young.) After I had him sign for permission, everyone else made copies of his "autograph".
Jamie Lee Curtis made friends with a young sweetheart named Lori in our town who had a heart transplant. She was about 12-14 years old. Jamie hung out with Lori all the time and stayed in touch with her and came back to visit her after the movie.
I was an extra in a
"League of Their Own" when I lived in Indiana. But they didn't let us hang out too much with the stars.
